DISPATCHER POSITION 

The American Embassy Welfare and Recreation Association (AEWRA) seeks applications from qualified Zimbabwean citizens interested in the position of dispatcher as described below.

SALARY OFFER:                            7.95 to 11.53 USD per hour, depending on experience.

PLACE OF PERFORMANCE:    Harare, Zimbabwe

START DATE:                                  22 July 2019

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide efficient and responsive coordination of AEWRA transportation services.
  • Supervise all AEWRA drivers, manages vehicle maintenance, and monitors vehicle use.
  • He/she may be called upon as a relief driver.
  • Manage Daily Schedules and Assignments
  • Vehicle Maintenance
  • Assists the Program Coordinator to optimize the use of resources, including route planning, vehicle maintenance, and staffing.

III.          MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants who do not meet all of the selection factors are considered NOT qualified for the position.

The applicant must have:

  • Zimbabwean Citizenship.
  • Class II Vehicle License.
  • Minimum of 1 year as a Dispatcher or Transportation Manager.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience as a professional driver or mechanic.
  • Advanced conversational English.
  • The ability to negotiate effectively between conflicting and competing demands.
  • The ability to react quickly and appropriately to sensitive concerns.

SALARY OFFER:                            5.19 USD per hour.

PLACE OF PERFORMANCE:    Harare, Zimbabwe

START DATE:                                  5 August 2019

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • School Route Driving
  • Ensure complete documentation of vehicle use log.
  • Report any vehicle damage or maintenance issues to Dispatcher.
  • Report any emergencies immediately to Program Coordinator and Dispatcher.
  • Vehicle Maintenance
  • Chauffer Service as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
