Health Partners Discuss Impact From the Latest Wave of COVID-19
As Zimbabwe faced a third wave of COVID-19, the toll has been heavy on Zimbabwean health workers, and on the implementing partners in charge of ensuring HIV/AIDS programs stay afloat during these difficult times.
Zimbabwean public health specialist, Dr. Rickie Malaba who is on staff at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Sara Page-Mtongwiza, the Chief of Party with the Organization for Public Health Interventions and Development (OPHID), highlight the circumstances and strategy for maintaining the U.S. government support of these programs through the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief or PEPFAR.
