On March 12, Sylvia DiPaolo, Mission Harare’s newly arrived head of our New Embassy Campus (NEC) construction project visited Masaisai Junior School to participate in the commissioning of their new school bus.  DiPaolo met with school authorities and parents and donated a set of books for the school’s library.

Masaisai Junior School is neighbor to the New Embassy compound currently undergoing construction in Harare’s Bluffhill area.  The NEC will be the place from which generations of American diplomats and their Zimbabwean colleagues shape Zim- U.S. relations and open our pathways of mutual respect and understanding between the United States and Zimbabwe.

The bus commissioning event at Masaisai Junior School was punctuated with musical performances by Masaisai students and warm remarks by school authorities and parents. It’s an honor to have been invited to the ceremony and we look forward to warm neighborliness. – ZimPAS © March 24, 2016
